Save gas and labour time
Manufacturers of flow packaged food products can easily increase profits with an on-line gas analyser from PBI-Dansensor. Many PBI-Dansensor customers have already discovered that the move from manual quality control to more automated quality assurance can reduce labour costs drastically while at the same time reducing the gas consumption of the packaging machine with up to 25%. Such a gas reduction is not only good for profits but also for the environment as less CO
2 is wasted.
To increase profits for flow packaged food products it is necessary to mount an on-line gas analyser with gas control on the packaging machine – the gas analyser will continually measure the residual oxygen level in the package and adjust the gas flushing accordingly.
With an on-line quality assurance solution it is not unusual to see a payback time of 8 to 12 months – due to saved gas, labour time and reduced repackaging costs. On top of this a quality assurance solution also reduces the risk of expensive product recalls due to incorrect gas contents in the package.
PBI-Dansensor offers two different products for on-line quality assurance on flow packaging machines (HFFS/VFFS), the MAP Check Combi II and our TGC-2.
